Originally from central Illinois, I lived in Michigan, Minnesota, and British Columbia before settling in Japan 26 years ago.
I’ve had a dual career as a classical musician (conductor, composer, teacher) as well as a second language educator. Recently retired from full-time university teaching in a TESOL graduate program, I am currently a part-time adjunct lecturer in English at two universities.
