What’s so different about my book?

1. No mention of skin colour. Mixed and multicultural children come in many shades. Mentioning colour can unintentionally exclude some children the book applies to. 🧒🏽👧🏼👦🏽👧🏿👶🏼👧🏾🧒🏻👶🏾👧🏽👦🏿

2. No comparisons to food, treats or desserts. When children question why they look the way they do, an explanation can be provided by explaining that it’s a result of your parents coming from different places.

3. Being exposed to different cultures and traditions is something to be celebrated! This book embraces children to love all they’re mixed with.

4. Lastly, just my favourite line “mix this and that into a bowl, I’m not half of one thing they all make me whole.”
