compassionate, radical exploration through life experience and imaginative creation focused on increasing trust of the energetic field without the need for definition
Writer/Director
I am the director of a theater troupe called Humanity. We embrace equal access to the portals of communication through storytelling that explores the boundaries of who we think we are and who we can become. We have done three successful projects during the pandemic and continue to push the possibilities of live theatrical experience into the digital realm.
I have two embracingly radical, edgy, smart romantic comedy scripts!
I’ve also written a play with music which is set in Appalachia, a “significant feminist achievement” which spins off from James Agee’s “Let Us Now Praise Famous Men.”
Actor
I act in film, television and theater. Last seen in “Can You Ever Forgive Me?,”most recognized for “Dharma and Greg.”
I studied History as a Special Scholar at the University of Virginia focusing on Civil Rights in the South. I worked as an intern for Henry Hampton, The Aspen Institute, and The Smithsonian before becoming a Vice President at Boston Capital Partners in charge of low income housing syndication for the Western US. After discovering the lie there I went to acting school in NY full time and began an acting career. I then left that for eleven years to make socio political documentaries in Puerto Rico for six years and then internationally.
I now am nurturing a small artistic community aimed at embracing the eastern understanding of the oneness of the spiritual and physical, the feminine sense of empowerment, and the elevation of all beings to their highest happiness.
On second Fridays 7 pm ET, 4 pm PT, Humanity hosts the Independent Artists’ Cooperative Happy Hour where artists may share their projects and their needs knowing the room is dedicated to fostering art created with little or no budget. Need a camera, have a boom? I’ll edit your screenplay if you’ll shoot mine. Sharing is caring. Fostering disenfranchised artists of all ages, races, sexes, genders, religions, and ideologies.
I teach acting every Monday evening on Zoom with a focus on using the imagination and finding your physical and emotional connection through desire. In this as in all of my work, my aim is to be inclusive, embracing, and to build the exciting, eclectic community I desire to live in. Find my websites below.
