🤔 WHY are open source seeds so important? For climate, diversity, food security. Control the seed, you control life. Open source seeds support keeping diverse varieties available to the planet, instead of losing them to corporation-owned patents. Did you know most seeds are patented by a small number of corporations making it illegal for you to grow and save the seeds? Even organic, open pollinated ones. We’ve lost over 90% of commercial produce varieties, and now a growing number lost to patents! Learn, advocate and support open source seed growers and the groups working on them for greater variety of resilient produce!
