Passion for learning and growing with others to be an Agent for Change in our society and world.
Diversity, Inequality, Social Justice, Human Rights, and Prison/Legal Reform to name a few areas I hope to help and make an impact.
Addison’s Disease Fighter 👊🤕
A little about me:
Went from growing up with a mother whom is severely mentally ill with Schizophrenia Multiple Personality Disorder causing me to grow up living on the streets part of the time in childhood then off to my only conceivable outlet, the Military, then Attempted Motorcycle Racing (didn’t end well), Athlete in Semi-Pro Football–Triathlete-Cyclist, Athletic Trainer for Pro and Collegiate athletes, Photography, Modeling, College, to working in Afghanistan for almost a decade, and many severe injuries all along the way has provided me various perspectives through life experiences.
The end of my Afghanistan time I developed more spinal injuries and Addison’s Disease which took years to identify and even longer to gain control, as much as I can thus far. Now it’s time to get up and keep fighting for myself and others.
Growth in everything everyday at least a little is my goal. We’re always learning. Recognize everyone has had their own experiences in life that shaped them good or bad. There is something to learn from each person we meet.
Living my best life.
Great thoughts I’ve heard from other clubhouse members:
o Dialogue of experiences with others for true understanding
o If you’re only around like minded people you’re in an echo chamber
