SAM SPECTOR IS…
the New York-based stylist responsible for the signature looks of some of Hollywood’s leading men and women. Spector works regularly with Neil Patrick Harris on his red carpet, press, and personal appearances and creates custom apparel for the star for his TV hosting responsibilities. Sam was the Costume Designer for Neil's NBC shows "Best Time Ever", and "Genius Junior". He also works with Daniel Radcliffe, Billy Eichner, the Emmy Award winner Samira Wiley, Andy Samberg, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Michael Zegen on their press and red carpet appearances.
Spector is the stylist for Hasan Minhaj’s Netflix series “Patriot Act” as well all the press associated with the show. He worked with Ryan Seacrest on his daily show "Live with Kelly and Ryan" as well as "American Idol" and his "E! Red Carpet" looks. During this time Spector worked with designers as well as custom making clothing with Seacrest’s signature label to create the perfect apparel for each occasion.
Spector dresses the lead singer of Phish, Trey Anastasio, for his tour appearances, most recently custom-designing the band’s New Year's Eve 2020 costumes as well as 50 of their “clones”.
Sam’s office also offers personal shopping services, working with some of the leading business executives in the country.
Spector received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an A.A.S. in Fashion Design at the Parsons School of Design in New York. He went on to serve as the Fashion Editor of OUT Magazine and held the Market Editor title at Esquire’s Big Black Book. Spector is a member of the Costume Designers Guild in both New York (IATSI 829) and Los Angeles (IATSI 892).
