My journey started out in music. Coming from a musical family singing and performing background vocals was a natural progression. After attending college (HBCU – NSU) I entered into the field of business administration, event planning and sales. While working in event planning, I was introduced to the coffee world and became intrigued by the coffee and tea industry. This is when I decided to begin my entrepreneurial journey. For 5 years I studied the art of roasting, built a team, researched types of coffee beans and brands of teas from all over the world. My team and I built a customer base with my Sage Marie’s online shop and we created a boutique line of espresso coffees & teas that we hand roast and hand blend to order. We now purchase beans from all over the world and we also visit local roasters to create our gourmet line of coffees and teas. We also just added a beauty line that includes our whipped Shea butters, hand crafted soaps and a natural body wash that includes our premium coffees and tea’s.
