Rolando Rodriguez is the founder of Houston-based, Trill Multicultural, a social purpose marketing and communications firm. His career blends the worlds of marketing, social justice and journalism together. He helps Fortune 500 and nonprofit brands create meaningful change in multicultural communities. He is the founder of the web-series, The Activist Bootcamp, that helps first-time activists understand and fight racial injustice. Rolando is also an 11-year opinion contributor to the Houston Press on culture, politics and music. His storytelling on the dynamics of multiculturalism in Texas has been spotlighted in important literary works, such as "Black-Brown Solidarity: Racial Politics in the New Gulf South" and "Hip-Hop in Houston: The Origin and The Legacy." He was also named a national finalist for Opinion Writing at the National Awards for Education Reporting by the Education Writers Association.
