RONNIE KING – SHORT BIO
Ronnie King’s career is as a musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, producer, recording artist and author. “I’m focused on the regeneration of my music on the international level,” states Ronnie, who sits on numerous Boards throughout the world. He is the Costa Rica Goodwill Ambassador for the University for International Cooperation (UCI), he sits on the Global Advisory Board for Emerson College, Boston Massachusetts, he is the Production Director for the BantuFest Cultural Festival, Los Angeles, California and Advisory Board Member for Earth Charter, Costa Rica.
Under the management of self-professed “Godfather of Gangsta Rap” Jerry Heller (N.W.A./Easy E), King was initiated in the hardcore hip-hop and gangster rap scene. He was also signed to Epitaph Records with punk-rock supergroup, The Joykiller. King’s iconic sound in two unassuming music universes famed him as one of the most versatile and sought after Keyboardist’s in the rap, hip-hop and punk world.
For his remarkable keyboard work, Ronnie King is known for his multi-platinum hits with Steel Pulse, Pepper, Tupac/2Pac, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Tyrese, The Offspring, Coolio and many more. King has been nominated twice for Grammy awards, once for an Oscar for 2Pac Resurrection, #1 Billboard Award with Steel Pulse and has won three Coachella Valley Music Awards for Best Producer.
Grammy nominated with Steel Pulse and currently touring with Pepper. Ronnie blends rare variety of musical genres and cultures to create a sound and style that is distinctively his own, sampled and copied countless times.
