Richard’s 18 years of hotel industry experience includes the last five years with Highgate where he has been responsible for spearheading the firm's business development efforts. In his role as Principal, Rich is focused on identifying new conversion opportunities, leading the due diligence and site selection process, sourcing debt and equity partners, and negotiating long term management agreements.

Prior to Highgate, he was with Morgan’s Hotel Group, where he ran various asset management functions for MHG including asset sales and operational enhancement reviews. Rich was previously a Manager for Ernst & Young, L.L.P. in the Transaction Advisory Services Division, specializing in real estate and hospitality.

Rich has a Master of Business Administration Degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
