Past president (2019) of the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association (CRRA), which represents more than 11,000 Realtors engaged in all areas of real estate, including residential and commercial sales, development, property management, appraisal, auctions and more. I am the first African American woman elected to the position, following a 19-year-career as a Realtor based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Helping on average 39 families throughout the Carolinas every year with the acquisition or disposition of residential real estate, land and investment properties.
Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, I was one of four children raised in Boston, Massachusetts by a single mother whose drive to secure her family’s future planted the seeds for my future career in real estate. Pearl’s pride in purchasing her first home left an indelible imprint, and fueled my ambition for professional success.
After securing my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1989 I spent 12 years working in the insurance and credit finance industry, for companies including CitiFinancial and MetLife Insurance. My personal passion for community development led me to shift gears toward the real-estate industry in 2001.
During my early years in real estate, I also earned a master’s degree in business management from Queens University Charlotte. My expertise in negotiation and problem-solving helped me land positions as a Realtor® with Mathers Realty, and currently a Broker with Keller Williams Realty where I am a Team Leader for the University Market Center.
As Team Leader of a market center my primary responsibilities are recruiting, retaining and developing consumer centric, tech enabled agents where faith, family and business are the core values.
