More Bio Context:
Peter Leyden has spent his entire career figuring out the future, explaining what’s probably coming next, and helping envision how we could create a better world. He came to San Francisco 25 years ago to work at the early Wired magazine, founded two of his own media startups, and hosted several interview series that draw off his ever-expanding network of innovators from fields impacting the future. Since coming to Silicon Valley, Leyden gives keynote talks as a futurist with Keppler Speakers and gives strategic foresight to senior executives and leaders of organizations.
Leyden currently is hosting and producing a new conversation series for the Long Now Foundation, and is the Senior Fellow for Strategic Foresight at Autodesk. He has written two books on the future that went into multiple languages, including The Long Boom, a Future History of the World from 1980 to 2020. He recently published the sequel, an online series of stories in Medium called The Transformation, a positive and plausible narrative of America and the world from 2020 to 2050.
