Born in Nigeria and raised in various countries, before settling in the UK in 1988. I played basketball with the famed Brixton Topcats and I have represented England and Great Britain on the international stage in Basketball. I started teaching in 2001 and have been educating young people for over twenty years. My belief is simple “you don’t lose until you quit” As one of the few African secondary headteachers in Britain, I have an insight into the issues that prevent teachers from breaking through the glass ceiling in education. I am a well-respected keynote speaker and I have been a facilitator on the DFE Diversity and Equality program. I have been a senior leader at both Harris and ARK Federations of school, I have also been a systems leader with the Academies Enterprise Trust. Currently I lead Woodcote High School and I am heavily involved in my spare time with the voluntary sector in London.
