Trevell Franklin, known professionally as Only1Tipy, is an American hip hop recording artist, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for being signed to reformed kingpin Freeway Rick Ross, now CEO of entertainment label Freeway Music Group. In January 2008, Tipy teamed up with Infrared Ent to help further his musical career with artist development alongside great acts such as Quentin Miller, T'Melle, and r&b group One Chance. Tipy has also collaborated with some of today's powerhouse producers such as TJ Freeway, X Beatz, 808 Mafia, AT Alien, Dreek Da Man (Pushing Keys), Synesthetic Nation, and many more. Tipy's deep love for music spawned a new avenue to express himself by writing for other artist. Tipy has stretched his talents across many genres of writing for r&b, country, rap, and gospel artist. Since bursting onto the hip hop scene Tipy has released 4 mixtapes (Trading War Stories, No Radio, Robot Not Here, and Proof Of Purchase) and 3 albums (No Struggle No Progress, Love Chronicles, and latest album From The City Bus To The Tour Bus) which included a feature with legendary singer Jase' from the r&b group Soul For Real. Tipy has been featured on MTV.com, Power106.com as well as a host of others. Formally known as Yung Tipy, he reinvented his sound as well as his name to Only1Tipy to convey his different outlook on life motivating people embrace who they are and gain understanding that we are individually unique.
