I am a social impact design educator and passionate advocate of art and design for social change. I frequently lecture at international conferences on the value of design in addressing social challenges using design thinking methodologies.

My research focuses on educational awareness of global issues, primarily to improve health communication and protect the environment —on land and in the ocean. I have been involved in many field-level research projects around the world with students (India, Kenya, South Africa, Peru, Ecuador). My human-centered approach fosters transdisciplinary, multi-level partnerships that bring positive change in local and international communities.

I am interested in strategic design projects dealing with social change, to promote sustainable development and change the world for the better.
