DESIGN EDUCATION LAB
This is a collaborative space to talk about Design Education:
🔅inclusive,
🔅multicultural,
🔅multicolored,
🔅multigenerational,
🔅multicurricular,
🔅transdisciplinary,
and dedicated to the training of future agents of positive social change.
The current perspective of design is oriented to visualize the future not as something distant but as something that is happening now. We think of design as an agent of change, identifying the main current problems in order to be able to design new processes and methodologies in the context that institutions of higher learning experience today and prepare for the future.
This vision in decision making and actions will allow us to shorten territorial distances;
Through virtual conversations and collaborations —that traditional take place in design labs— we propose to establish a strategic link to build possible futures, using the tools that “the New Normal” context provides us with.
We are here to learn, support, collaborate, inspire and be inspired by practitioners, educators and students interested in the diverse fields of design:

People who have multiple backgrounds outside design are welcomed. For design to be world-changing, we need all voices 🗣 That is a good thing for design. All disciplines grow when they learn from the wisdom of other disciplines. This is called diversity. We need more diversity in design: diversity in gender, race, culture and society, field of training, and experience.

Make sure to nominate anyone you think whose voice needs to be a part of our conversations.
