​Founder Chris Salter has a deep background in linguistics and music, and has studied the potential crossover applications for decades. In 2001 he created the original Piano Wizard concept, started the company, and raised capital to fund it, Launched products in 2005 to critical acclaim, secured licensing deals with Fisher-Price, Mattel, US Music Corp, Suzuki Keyboard, Hal Leonard Corp and more. Recession hit, most of those deals collapsed, and the company fell back to earth, having to close offices and let go of team, move back into the basement, barely surviving. They later launched successful Kickstarter campaign to produce a MVP prototype for the mobile markets, which they are upgrading and porting to other platforms. Currently completely restructuring and pivoting to Music Brain Training to create new revenue streams and options, while creating a new mobile company to leverage new IP created specifically for it.

Has also worked for years as a mentor to startups via CEO Space, Longmont Startup Board, and other organizations as an instructor and facilitator.
