As counsel in Foley Hoag's Cannabis practice, Michael McQueeny advises businesses, including investors, processors, distributors, retailers and cultivators, on the regulation of the cannabis and CBD industry, with a specific focus on New Jersey and New York.

Mike has considerable experience counseling clients regarding licensing of cannabis and CBD-related entities and advising them on federal and state legislation, regulations and local laws governing the growth, processing, sale and use of cannabis. He has also advised several of the larger multi-state operators, and has spoken widely on topics affecting the industry on panels, in publications, and on television.

Mike has frequently been consulted as a point person on regulatory development and insight for New Jersey media outlets including CBS, Cheddar TV, ROI-NJ, the Star-Ledger, NJ Cannabis Insider, and the New Jersey Law Journal.

Mike also serves as a Professor of Cannabis Law and Policy at New York Law School.
