I’ve worked in some tough dining rooms (Chez Panisse, Berkeley CA; per se, NYC; Momofuku, NYC; Casa Mono, NYC). Currently: wine director, Pinch Chinese (NYC) and Jeepney Filipino Gastropub (NYC).
I contribute to PUNCH, a James Beard award-winning online imprint of Penguin/Random House, in a series about the intersection of wine and humanity, specializing in decolonization, modern identity politics, equitable labor, and social justice. I’ve been featured in the New York Times, Food + Wine Magazine, Wine + Spirits, Bon Appétit, and Grubstreet.
I am part of the resource council for The Hue Society, a collective of individuals in the wine industry prioritizing BIPOC experiences and opportunities, developing curriculum for decolonization and contextualizing wine education in the modern context. I’m working on Open Wine Forum, aimed at free wine education, deep mentorship, and higher level employment opportunities for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks.
I edit Disgorgeous, a zine and podcast about wine.
