Shaykh Muhammad Husein Qadri is a British born scholar who is currently the Imām and senior Mudarris at Masjid Moinul Islam, Bolton. He received his B.A in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Manchester and also studied Arabic at the University of Alexandria, Egypt.
He studied the full curriculum of Islamic sciences (Dars-e-Nizami) with traditional ‘Ulama and received traditional licences (Ijazat) of the Qadiri spiritual order from many scholars which include Tajush Shariah Shaykh Mufti Akhtar Riđā Azhari (May The Almighty sanctify his soul), Shaykh Abdul Hakim Sharaf Qadiri (May The Almighty sanctify his soul),Shaykh Arshadul Qadiri (May The Almighty sanctify his soul),Shaykh al-Muhaddith al-Faqih Diya al-Mustafa Qadiri (Ghosi, India), Shaykh Sayyid Madani Miya (Kichocha, India), Shaykh Abdul Ba’ith al-Kattani (Alexandria, Egypt), Shaykh Mufti Ayyub Ashrafi (Bolton, UK) and his honourable father Shaykh Iqbal Misbahi (Bolton, UK).
Shaykh Muhammad Husein has also written and translated books in the English language. Amongst the multitude of his literary translations and compositions, some of his well-known works include al-Amnu Wa al-‘Ulā (Imām Ahmad Ridā), Iqāmat al-Qiyāmah (Imām Ahmad Ridā), Matla’ al-Qamarayn (Imām Ahmad Ridā), Śafā’ih al-Lujayn (Imām Ahmad Ridā) and Guide to Islamic Inheritance.
For more than a decade, Shaykh Muhammad Husein has taught the traditional Dars-e-Nizami at various institutions in the UK and also delivered lectures at venues across the World. His fields of interest are Fiqh and Tasawwuf.
