MARTIN.... DOP...Photographer story teller....with a love for life

I come  from an artistic family and had always had a deep desire to capture the beauty of life from an young age.

I firmly believe that there is beauty in everything small and big in this universe  and that very often we go by life without noticing it.

My Motto in life is “Life is beautiful – experience the colours of life"

I  graduated in BFA visual communications from the College of Arts and Crafts Egmore in Chennai and this education gave me  a  great foundation in aesthetics, composition, colour and lighting. When I took to photography, these skills helped me create a dramatic, life like quality in all my photos.  My  processing techniques brings out a painting quality in my images. These techniques enhance the drama and the emotion in the  photos I  shoot. My visual story can be seen in the kumbh mela photos i had shot two years back

I started my initial creativity journey in animation and worked for Pentamedia graphics  Chennai and honed my skills in art and aesthetics working on International projects released by them like 3D films Pandavas and Buddha. Many projects as background artist for home videos and films helped me hone my skill and expertise for the larger picture in the subsequent years.

I am most inspired by the life that surrounds me and the daily Street life is my greatest inspiration. Capturing candid shots of people going about their daily activities and capturing true, raw emotion in their faces is what i like to capture.

I have always dreamed of getting into the field of cinema, as a continuity of my love for photography, was the foray into  the world of camera and  lighting to create movie magic through Cinematography. There are many starwalts in this field in TN and everyone has inspired in me in my journey to create cinematic magic.

I  have the expertise to create good colour  vision, understanding of composition and light and the thirst to achieve artistic and technical expertise related to the image. And my future projects will help me to reach the destination hopefully.
