Bio

Marco Anthony is the president of Just Society, a non-profit focused on Art Therapy and healing communities one conversation at a time. He is a poetivist which means a poet and activist, an ordained preacher, educator with most of his experience teaching in Chicago Public Schools.

He is a native of Chicago and product of Chicago Housing Authority. His homelessness activism was featured on a WBEZ 91.5 Chicago NPR radio documentary hosted by Elysabeth Alfano highlighting him teaching a poetry workshop in one of the few youth homeless shelters in the Windy City.

He was Communication Specialist at Olive Branch Mission, a homeless shelter serving men, women, children where he taught health and wellness in its Transformation Program helping men overcome drug addictions, and told the stories of those impacted by homelessness in a newsletter which was distributed to thousands of donors. He has worked with a host of pastors, churches, non-profits and businesses to strategize their marketing and branding. He has served in many ministry leadership roles including outreach, singles and ministerial staff.

He was nominated for Best Spoken Word Recording of the Year by The Stellar Awards, gospel music’s most sought out prize.

He is a graduate of Alabama State University, an HBCU located in Montgomery, AL. He has served in many leadership capacities within ministry, but outreach is his favorite. He is a brilliant brand strategist who has worked with a host of pastors and churches.

He is extremely creative and talented, passionate about his faith, kingdom and enterprise. He currently resides in the Twin Cities where he helps homeless youth locate stable housing on a daily basis and serves his local church.
