I believe that everyone is a feminist depending on how the define feminism.
Which is why contrasting ideologies like Post modern feminism and Egalitarian feminism comes under the same umbrella, that is feminism

Each define feminism in their own perspective eventhough they are technically the opposite .

So i may or maynot be a feminist depending upon the listener's definition of it.

"Are you a feminist" hold in itself the no true scotsman fallacy to be honest.
Because the person who asks the question has drawn a line on what feminism is and what it isnt.

And is asking people of they belong within the line or beyond it eventhough the listener doesn't know where the line is in your mind.

Feminist is not an objective word.

Its subjective. It depends on their interpretation of the word.

Depends on your interpretation.
If you think thats necessary, that Feminism according to you.

If another person thinks its unnecessary. Thats feminism according to them.
There isnt an authority that prints out feminist certificates.

Its subjective and depends on person to person.
If you risk defining yourself based on an umbrella term , you risk people associating you with others in your umbrella.
