Maranda is a woman determined to make a difference in the world to impact lives for time and eternity.

💣 Known for her powerful lyrics, soulful tone and passionate worship, this wife of 30 years, mother of 8 children and grandmother of 4 girls allows the Holy Spirit to sing in and through her to change lives one note at a time.

🇺🇲 Maranda was born in Camden, New Jersey. She attended the Merit School of Music, a music conservatory in Chicago, Illinois and she was also a brief member of the Warner Bros. recording group "Teen Dream".

⛪Maranda began writing in 1991 after she and her husband Michael received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior under the leadership of Apostle Brian Keith Williams @briankeithwms

🎼 She released her first single, "In Your Presence" 2001, her self-titled project "Maranda" 2005 , "You Give Me Life" 2014, "Deep Within" 2016, "Fight In Me" 2019, "Lord Let Your Kingdom Come" 2020, "Rest In You" April 17, 2021, "Rest In You - The Remix" May 28, 2021 and her newest release, "PURE PROPHECY" August 22, 2021.

🎓 Maranda has a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from DeVry University and a Masters of Information Systems Management with Honors from Keller Graduate School of Management.

🏘 She resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area with her family.

In December of 2005, after the birth of her 8th child, Maranda experienced upper abdominal pains and vomiting. The nurse stated she maybe dehydrated and may have gall bladder disease because she just had a baby. The nurse started an I.V. and gave Maranda Pepcid for her gall bladder and Reglan for the vomiting. Immediately Maranda began to have dry heaves. She asked the nurse if she could use the bathroom. The nurse went to get a pole for Maranda's I.V. and upon her return Maranda's eyes closed and her head fell forward. When her legs began to give out, the nurse yelled, "Honey, honey!" And with her last breath Maranda said, "I can't breathe!” The nurse yelled, “Code!” Maranda heard several people enter the room and someone said, “What is her name?” The nurse replied, “Maranda”. Suddenly everyone was saying, “Maranda, Maranda, Maranda!” Someone said, “She’s not breathing…bag her!” Another person said, “She doesn’t have a pulse.
