I served The Boston Pride committee for over a decade. Starting as a volunteer, working on various sub committees. I ended as a committee member with the position of Concert Back Stage Manager.

Due to internal racism along with Boston Pride comments on Black Lives Matter and unwillingness for openness to Trans Lives, a majority of committee members resigned and formed Pride for The People - Boston, which I am one of the founding members.

Our purpose for forming this organization was to hold Boston Pride accountable and disband them for their lack of diversity. Also we wanted to create a Pride for Boston that was well diverse and inclusive.

After multiple meetings, Boston Pride refused to embrace, let alone be open to changing policies that would allow and include diversity to sit on the board.

With the help of many voices from our communities, allies, Trans Resistance, Boston Black Pride and other LGBTQ+ organizations; a massive boycott was formed. Boston Pride dissolved July 2021.

I am a former committee member of the Lupus Foundation of America - Boston.
