Bio

Alex Lightman is an award winning writer, entrepreneur, educator and government policy advisor. He is CEO of Keemoji, developer of mobile phone software to protect privacy and security, detect and convey emotions, and stop cyberbullying, and a prime mover of PKT.cash, a fork of Bitcoin that aims to help users monetize bandwith just as Uber helps monetize cars and AirBnB monetizes spare rooms. He is an advisor to three public companies, in medical cannabis, CBD cafes, and crypto.

Lightman thinks constantly about how to use the 8 billion mobile phones and cryptocurrency to benefit of the entire world and works almost daily with colleagues in Puerto Rico, mainland US, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Russia and Romania, as well as Madison Avenue, Hollywood, and Silicon Valley.

He is the founder and former CEO of Token Communities, which was acquired in July 2020 by Taiwanese investors and had reached a market cap of over $2 billion.

Lightman is the author of Brave New Unwired World (the first book on 4G) and Reconciliation: 78 Reasons To End The US Embargo of Cuba, and the coauthor (with Brett King, the #1 Fintech influencer) of Augmented: Life In The Smart Lane.

On January 1, 2018 Augmented was shown in the bookcase of Xi Jinping as he gave the State of The Union speech to over one billion Chinese leading to other speaking offers from the Chinese government including the opening keynote of the launch of the book “Xi Jinping Thought.” Google “Xi Jinping Augmented” to see related press.

Lightman is a graduate of MIT and attended graduate school at MIT’s Sloan School and Harvard’s Kennedy School and Lund University in Sweden.

Lightman has been a contractor, speech writer or advisor for over 30 parts of the US federal government including the US Senate, the Obama/Biden White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Department of Transportation, Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Information Systems Agency, and the Institute for Defense Analyses, as well as NATO and the United Nations.

In January and again in March 2020 he provided face to face briefings to dozens of members of the European Parliament and European Commission on Big Data, AI, 5G and IoT for a total of 24 hours of in person briefings.
