Lieutenant Commander Lori Campbell recently retired as a military officer, with 25+ years of honorable military service in the United States Navy. She has served in 15 different duty stations and finally made it back to her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Lori is one of the Diversity Faces of the Navy. She’s currently transitioning back into the civilian world, pursing voice over work, and was recently selected as one of the Navy’s newest voice over artists. She is known as a diversity catalyst for building partnerships with key community leaders, university presidents,
chancellors, and deans, as well as presidents at local diverse affinity groups. Her hands-on direction, and proactive leadership style, result in a perfect score and a win-win for all. As a Navy Ambassador for Diversity, she is highly sought after to assist TV film directors and producers with national diversity recruiting advertising events, and recruiting campaigns with Campbell-Ewald, Global Hue (African-American Marketing), and Accent Marketing (Hispanic Marketing)
promoting education, awareness, and fostering a positive Navy image.
Lori performed as a Casting Director, casting talent throughout the military communities. She is known for working on short notice, organizing cadres of military personnel within the US Navy ranks for national TV commercials, social media, public service announcements, and print ads. Lori has also been featured in multiple US Navy National commercials, on
BET, and in social media and she was featured as one of the “Women on the Move in New Orleans.”
Lori received a BS in Nursing from Hampton University (cum laude), and became a Navy Nurse Corps Officer. She then received a master's degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Lori's area of expertise and leadership skills lie deeply within the healthcare industry, Ph.D. Candidate in Organizational Psychology.
Recently, Lori became a proud Alumni member within the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education where she earned a Public Leadership certificate as well as completing the HKS Women and Power Program. Lori has also completed Yale’s University School of Management’s, Women’s Leadership Program and Women on Boards and earned a certificate Dec 2022 in the Global Executive Leadership Program Yale’s GELP.
