Second Grade Teacher , picture books addicted , strong believer of literacy and reading.

I am a trilingual teacher! I was born in Australia and raised in Colombia to Lebanese parents. I believe my mixed background and multicultural influences will help me connect and understand my students and help them grow academically and emotionally. I am a teacher who was faced with many challenges and I only survived with a teacher support, who became part of my personal life.

I believe with books and reading we can achieve so much and increase the comprehension of young minds. I love using children's literature to support my students' growth. For this reason, I use read-aloud and shared reading throughout all content areas. The workshop method is my preferred teaching style, I believe that independent reading and read aloud are two strategies that will elevate the students critical thinking to become the future of tomorrow.
