Bio

Lawrence Osei-Tutu is an experienced Ghanaian pediatrician with expertise in General Paediatrics and Clinical Paediatric Haematology and Oncology. He is a Global Health Researcher and a clinical investigator with the Malaria Research Centre, Agogo, Asante region of Ghana. His research interests include sickle cell disease, malaria, healthcare systems, benign and malignant pediatric hematology, and oncology.

Dr. OT as he is fondly known publicly is an active health advocate. He is a good communicator and orator. He is passionate about effective health communication to influence social and behavioral change, using various types of media platforms. He has previous experience in producing and hosting his own radio health talk show, which discussed healthcare financing, governance, human resource, information systems, research, clinical diseases among others.

Dr. Osei-Tutu received his postgraduate training in clinical pediatric hematology/oncology at the University of Cape Town, South Africa following completion of membership training with both the West Africa and Ghana Colleges of Health

He is a true man of the arts with deep appreciation for indigenous Ghanaian and classical forms of music. He loves live choral concerts which he occasionally moderates as a master if ceremony.

Dr. Osei-Tutu is blessed with a large family of three sons and two beautiful daughters
