I’m a writer/producer/director/editor — yeah one of these ///////
I’m based in LA and started a content company- creativefugitives.com
I also worked as an advertising copywriter at all big ad agencies on national accounts.
Agencies: Leo Burnett, DDB Needham, DMB&B might the ones you heard of.
Brands: Reebok, Philip Morris, MCI, AT&T, Pepsi, General Motors
When I moved to LA it was my editing that got me in the door as an AE on unscripted reality shows. Eventually that opened up doors to editor on various reality shows, documentaries and at the same I started my company, Creative Fugitives where i got to do it all, for small clients and producers, while I developed my slate on content. 🎥🎥🎥🎥
I also pitched a transformative transmedia IP around the Action Sports Lifestyle. 🏂⛷
We met with all the players and, agents, production companies, etc. A little too early to the current streaming world we live in. It’s still viable now.
As a writer, I wrote indie, non-linear features, and a traditional thriller. My strengths is a conceptual writer, creating three dimensional characters.
As a director/filmmaker, I strive to create my own cinematic visual style. It’s always about the story and creating an emotional connection to an audience.🎬🎬🎬🎬
Recently, I wrote and directed an edgy short film that put the model minority myth on notice and now that topic is a hot button for the Asian community.
I’m about to release my sci-fi series, Moto Nostra, 🛵🚴🏽♂️ a ground sci-fi series that has a mix of philosophical question about when does digital technology cross the line. 💻🖥
The anti-heroes are a group of Moto cross riders.
Last year during the pandemic I wrote an Anti-Asian Hate crime. I told a very creative, coming of age story, that tells what it’s like to grow up Asian in America with important themes that is so timely. Still trying to attach talent, producer and financing.
This is a marketable movie within universal appeal and at the same time makes an important social commentary.
