🏆 Karla’s Career in the beauty industry started in 1998. Through the years she has achieved many mile stones including opening her 1st location in 2006 and a second location in 2011. Gila Rut Salons are located in the greater San Diego area. Recognized and awarded national prestigious awards over the years. Including NAHA MBA award (North America Hairdressing Awards, Masters of Business Award).

💗 Karla continues to be a visionary and future focused. Her passion to elevate the beauty industry was the inspiration to build Beauty Backbone Inc. Working with business leaders and their teams to align their artistic talent with business literacy. Empowering, shifting and diving deeper to create sustainable and profitable company’s.

Her expertise also includes appearances on Univision and Telemundo morning shows and as a guest presenter and educator at cosmetology schools, Paul Mitchell Schools, Aveda Institutes and Marinello Schools of Beauty.
