Dr. Flint is one of the leaders of UCLA's Depression Grand Challenge, a campus wide initiative to find the causes of depression and use that knowledge to develop effective therapies for the leading cause of disability in the world. He runs a laboratory that focusses on finding out how genetic variants alter behavior, with a particular focus on anxiety and depression. He is author of a text book “How Genes Influence Behaviour”.
