Jody Stillwater 周青海 is a writer, director and creative technologist whose project themes are based in dream logic and tactile reality, with a modern, transformative approach to visual semiotics & archetype.

His work has been featured at the de Young museum, YBCA, Mutek, Transfer Gallery and ISEA, with commissions from Google, Knotel and Bentley Mills.

Lenape Films focuses on bringing visually stunning, socially impactful, genre-bending cinematic and immersive media experiences to life. Started by 5 BIPOC members, their mission is to employ storytelling that prioritizes equity and inclusion, allowing for diverse stories from underrepresented communities to thrive.

Performed & installed multiple new media projects at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, Tribeca Film Festival Hacks Lab (incorporating film + technology), the San Francisco Dance Film Festival Co-Lab (built around choreography + film), appeared as a featured guest on NBC’s Asian Pacific America with Robert Handa and was selected as the featured film artist at APAture 2018. A finalist for the SFFILM Kenneth Rainin Screenwriting Grant, he has received grants from the Kenneth Rainin Foundation, Zellerbach Family Foundation and Fleischhacker Foundations

Currently he is developing short form, episodic television and feature length films as well as continued study in new modes of commercial work and music videos.
