Bio

🟩 ARTIST in a variety of mediums:
oil + acrylic painting, collage, printmaking, encaustic, stone sculpture, soft sculpture, and water color.

🟪 I would describe myself, primarily, as a colorist.

🟦 First nine years of my career in Dallas, establishing a studio and exhibiting at the Edith Baker Gallery and the Dallas Museum of Art.

🟨 Moved to Los Angeles, Houston and Querétaro between 1994 and 2009, exhibiting primarily with the Koelsch Gallery, Taos Blue Gallery, Paragon Gallery, and Museo Regional de Querétaro.

🟥 Mounted my largest show, Historias, Sueños, y Travesías, at the Museo Regional de Querétaro, Mexico in 2009. Part of this 27 painting solo exhibition was shown at the Gallery Nord in San Antonio and has been partially acquired by the San Antonio Museum of Fine Art.

🟧 More recent exhibitions include “Tornadoes and Nests” at the San Antonio Museum of Art, as well as a number of Houston shows curated by Bill Arning of the Contemorary Art Museum of Houston, Julie Gillian of University of Houston, and Sally Sprout of Williams Tower.

⬜️ I continue to design furniture and interiors for private clients and work with the Pozos Art Project to nurture artistic youth in Texas and Mexico.
