My grandmother’s heartfelt words still echo in my heart when she told me:

“...It’s written in the stars you’re going to be something great...”

Though she’s long gone, my Nana’s words continue to inspire me, lift me up in trying times, as they remind me where my passion for writing and using words/language to heal/uplift truly come from.

She also was the first person to introduce me to Jamaican sea-moss as a kid, it’s a superfood I know to be so powerful as she gave it to our family on many occasion.
