Long:
So, from former professional soldier to 8-times business founder, Iāve coached and mentored in excess of 1500 executives and business owners on creating high-performance ācultures of leadershipā, using combat-proven methodologies; trained in excess of 10,000 sales professionals on the psychology of āhearts and minds sellingā; and in the last 3 years launched 4 separate recruitment brands - each disruptive and fully leveraging predictive-hiring technology and behavioural analytics.
I absolutely subscribe to the idea that the quickest way to become an old dog is to stop learning new tricks. Right now Iām fascinated by AI, machine learning and neuroplasticity.
Iām a no-bullshit kinda guy and at 58 I know that Iāve likely got less time left than Iāve spent, so I am absolutely happy sharing everything I know - especially with the founders of small-but-growing-businesses.
Author of soon-to-be-published āThe S-Myth. Why small business owners must master the art and science of sales.ā
Regular podcast guest on the subject of identifying, attracting, selecting, recruiting and then optimising your FIRST sales professionals.
My work and achievements are influenced by the the thinking of folks like Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf (retād); Gen. Colin Powell (retād); Gen. Sir Peter Cosgrove, AK, CVO, MC (retād); Jim Collins (Good To Great et al.); Brian Tracy; Martin Seligman; Mark Bouris; Glen Carlson; and Jack Delosa.
Big believer in āSystem Dynamicsā and the notion that if youāve got a problem, make it a procedure and it wonāt be a problem anymore.
Iām not a fan of hype or ārah rahā.
And I love robust conversations which draw on facts over opinions.
