Special education teacher with eyes wide open. I found the art, Spoken Word when I moved to Atlanta. I’m still unlearning and learning life....
As a middle school sped teacher, I’ve had to create new ways to connect my students to writing and it’s power. This is why Spoken Word is added in my classroom. It’s authentic writing, it’s storytelling, it’s healing and it’s anything you imagine it can be! I’m here to listen to others share their craft and feel some normalcy right now.
