I started playing around with hair at the age of 14 doing friends and family but I always said I wanted my own salon. Instead I took the paved route and graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2008. Later acquiring my MBA in 2011 and a Texas cosmetology license in 2017.
For over 7 years I worked in the pricing and procurement realm of the oil and gas industry until April 2019 when I JUMPED! I started my cosmetology career full time making more in the remaining 8 months of 2019 than I had any full year before.

Covid 19 delayed my destiny but it did not deny me. I signed a lease and ordered equipment for my own salon just weeks before the pandemic hit March 2020. With the stay-in-place ordered I took the time to relax before my third baby arrived. Its Fridia Hair was opened June 1, 2020 and I delivered September 2020 just 10 days after my 34th birthday. Since then my salon continues to thrive and I’m more happier than I have ever been.
What I’m grateful for is that have great guidance, support, and hell of determination!
ALWAYS LEARNING, always evolving!
