Born and raised in Canada, with Punjabi roots who has been releasing music in Bollywood for over a decade. He first burst onto the music scene with the famous “Aye Hip Hopper” music video which has achieved cult status for Indian Hip-Hop. He’s done full-length albums, corporate campaigns, entire background scores and hit Bollywood tracks in his career thus far. As a music composer, ishQ has given songs like Ranbir Kapoor's "Besharam" Title Track and “HGMKH” from Oscar recognised “Gully Boy”. ishQ has also done brilliant background scores for movies like Zee5's “377 - Abh Normal", the entire AR Rahman and Shah Rukh Khan “ARRived” reality series and both seasons of a Horror series called "Shockers" by Hotstar.
Bector has been working closely with the “After School of Hip-Hop”, a school in Mumbai’s Dharavi slums dedicated to providing underprivileged children with an opportunity to develop their musical talents. ishQ and the kids of Dharavi have already started recording songs and released a music video “Naach Na Shaane” directed by ishQ. Stay tuned to hear more ground breaking sounds from Canada's original Desi Hip-Hopper as he bridges the gap between Canadian and Indian culture!
