Bio

Holly serves as Director of Administration for the African-American Trust for Historic Preservation, www.athp.us, which serves to safeguard the architectural and cultural treasures bequeathed by the forebearers. In her spare time, she advises job candidates, providing writing/editing services, marketing plans, social media coaching and image advice. Previously, she oversaw Kentucky State Univ. Auxiliary Services. In 2018, she was honored as one of the Top 25 Women in Higher Education by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
In her last position at the University of Kentucky, as Director of Membership Sales & Marketing for UK Clubs, she worked with corporations, alumni, and employees, enhancing the profile of the clubs and also heading PR efforts and student intern development.
Prior to that, Holly promoted shared governance, managing the day-to-day operations of the official representative body for staff at UK, which also included community outreach, In this role for the Staff Senate under the Office of the President, she worked with all constituencies across the campus to facilitate communication and collaboration, served with staff governing leaders across the state, and headed special events and projects.
Her first role at UK included work on Educational Administration Quarterly and managing grant and contracts in the College of Ed. While at UK, she produced papers on the efficacy of homiletics of the Black preacher and Brown v. Board of Education in Independent Studies.
A fourth-generation collegian, Holly is an alumna of Spelman College, where she majored in English and sang in the Glee Club. She later joined the U.S. Army as a Legal Specialist at Ft. Bliss, Texas, and then earned a B.S. degree in Business Management & Ethics with high honors from Asbury University. She also has extensive experience in retail/direct sales and customer relations with major companies, including Macy’s and Westin.
A graduate of the College Business Management Institute, Holly headed major university event programs at UK, including the Outstanding Staff Awards and employee fundraising for DanceBlue that benefits pediatric oncology patients and research. She also served as Vice Chair for UK Appreciation Day. In the community, Holly is actively involved in church, Leadership Lex and charity.
