🕛 Spent 17 years running a semi online travel agency in the Maldives Islands. Saw a hardship faced by smaller agents getting access to availability and competitive rates. With the interest in coding, developed a simple cloud MVP to connect hotels with agents for real-time availability and confirmations. Over the years this developed into a fully fledged Travel agency management platform.
🌱 In 2015, while OTA's was at their peak into our market and the interest in travel tech, totally devoted my time to convert into a SaaS platform, Openhotelier (OH). The platform cater Travel startups and empower traditional Retail & Wholesale Travel agents, Tour Operators.
👍 With 6 tough years in the Maldives market, we have now found the best product market fit. This pivot will entirely disrupt the wholesale accommodation distribution sector.
