Bio

I am an avid traveler from Bangalore, India. I enjoy outdoor photography and experiencing new places for everything it has to offer. Since I wanted to contribute to the tourism sector, I decided to get a Masters Degree in Travel & Tourism Management and even got offered a job with Thomas Cook as a Tour Manager. However, I wanted to be a part of designing a structure in a organisation and decided to work with an adventure travel startup instead. 


After a couple of years I needed a change from the travel manager monotony and then worked as a property manager for a Zostel property. There I understood the operations of the property and that only added to my knowledge and experience in managing a team to meet needs of different guests from all over the world. Then I wanted to climb up the ladder and applied for an Airbnb job and got the Host Acquisition Specialist role where I managed the South Indian territory market for unique properties only. About a year later the pandemic hit and the hospitality sector had completely crashed. 


I was very confident that people can’t afford not to travel and my passion for the industry never let me give up hopes. I founded Hood Escape in September 2020. It wasn’t an easy ride especially considering that travel had come to a stand still. I also put my time and efforts with an investor who helped  build a mud house with a treehouse and a small swimming pool on a farmland that turned out to be a unique property where I studied a return of investment for a business model such as the ROI proposal for the upcoming project in Bir Billing. After 1 year of collaborations with different kinds of properties pan India, I want to take up a fresh individual project to be set up under Hood Escape. The motive is to create a brand - HOOD!
