Daniel “DQ” Quagliozzi is the Behavior Consultant behind Go, Cat, Go—San Francisco’s leading in-home resource for modern cat behavior advice and guidance. He has over a decade of experience working for the San Francisco SPCA and San Francisco Animal Care and Control as a specialist in cat behavior, intake and adoption, plus 9 years working privately with cat guardians in their homes and online. DQ is a member of the Pet Professional Guild.

Daniel sees cats as individuals. Just like people, cats can be introverts or extroverts, and each session should be tailored to a cat’s unique set of needs. Daniel brings a breadth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to his clients, combining what he has learned on the front lines of animal welfare with his own unique perspective and spiritual practice.

DQ also teaches behavior classes and hosts support groups for cat guardians that want to surrender themselves, not their cats, and “Live in the Meow”. DQ has been featured in Wired Magazine, San Francisco Magazine, SF WEEKLY, and The San Francisco Chronicle, and he recently appeared on Animal Planet’s “Why do Animals do that?”

My Philosophy:

Cats have a language all of their own and it takes a patient and positive approach to unravel that message and think outside the litterbox. As a Cat Behavior Consultant, I’ll help you see the world through your cat’s eyes, demystifying their behavior, body language, and everything else that makes them do what they do (often the things we don’t want them to do). I believe that cats thrive in environments that pay tribute to their independence and reduce their need to compete for resources. As their guardians, it is our duty to serve them and adjust our lifestyles to meet their individual needs.
