LA-based comic Gini Sikes has appeared at Second City, Flappers, The Laugh Riotgirrl Festival— and multiple crime scenes. A crime reporter with a master’s in journalism from Columbia University, Sikes has investigated everything from drug mules to serial killers.
She’s written for The Washington Post, Essence, and The New York Times, and produced for MTV, Investigation Discovery, PBS, and more.
Her book, 8ball Chicks, chronicles a year spent with girl gangs in three American cities. She also co-wrote/produced the award-winning documentary on women’s rights, Equal Means Equal. Catch her on the podcast MDK Squad — comedians pondering murder, death, and killers.
Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, when not pondering world evil, this self-proclaimed pessimistic Pollyanna performs comedy to make sense of it all.
