Let me create content for the people,
Content for the old and the young; 
Content to stir like a battle-cry
Whenever it is seen and heard.

Not for the clashing of sales,
For carnage, nor for strife;
But creation to thrill the hearts of humanity With more abundant life.

Let me be an inspiration for the weary,
And midlife’s fever and fret,
So hearts shall relax their tension
And care warn brows forget.

Let me create for the little children,
Before their footsteps stray.

Sweet anthems of love and duty,
To float on life’s highway.
I would create for the poor and aged,
When shadows dim their sight;
Of the bright and restful mansions,
Where there shall be no match.

A world, so worn and weary,
Needs inspiration, pure and strong,
To hush the jangle and discourse
Of sorrow, pain, and wrong.

Content to sooth all the sorrow,
So war and crime will cease;
And the hearts of humanity grows tender,
Girdled the world with peace.
