Bio
I’m Firas, an award winning MedTech Innovator and Qualified Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon. In 2020, I co-founded Xavier Bionix, a MedTech start-up developing world-class products using disruptive and emerging technologies. Operating as Chief Medical Officer, I have been a key driving force behind the company’s flagship product Cyclops, an MR surgical pre-operative software planning application.
I’ve also masterminded an original, patient specific, hinged 3D printed external fixator device (pending IP/patent). In 2021, I was proud to win the Venture 2021 School of Medicine Award (Centre for Entrepreneurship at University of Dundee). I’m a graduate of the Scottish Business Accelerator Programme. My understanding of the MedTech landscape, is advanced.
