🇫🇷 Je suis prof de français mais....

C'est en mêlant ma passion pour les langues au militantisme, que je me suis intéressée de plus près à la langue française sous l'angle d'une manipulation narrative à l'encontre des personnes racisées en France. Ainsi, je m'intéresse à ce que j’appelle le “D’où on parle ?”. Un point de vue important à prendre en compte lorsque l’on parle des personnes racisées dans l’espace public.

• La France dans Le Noir 🎙

s'intéresse à l'impact de la parole blanche sur les personnes noires. Il s’agit ici de parler de déni, de refus d’ouvrir les yeux face à une situation sociétale très complexe. De refuser d’admettre qu’il existe en France un racisme structurel visant à rabaisser la communauté noire au plus bas de l’échelle sociale.

🇺🇸 I teach French for a living but...

It is by mixing my passion for languages with activism that I have become more interested in the French language as a narrative manipulation against racialized people in France. Thus, I’m interested in what I call the "D'où on parle ?" This is an important aspect to take into account when talking about racialized people in the public space.

is interested in the impact of the white word on black people. It is a question here of denial, of refusing to open our eyes to a very complex societal situation. It is about refusing to admit that there is a structural racism in France that aims to put the black community at the bottom of the social ladder. My co-host and I talk about this invisible racism, which is difficult to detect but rampant in France.
