FACE's MISSION is to drive focused cultural change among Muslims that leads to transparent survivor- centered community safety and leader accountability, outside the criminal legal system, for those who abuse their positions of trust and authority.

FACE's VISION is to realize a community that is known for its unfailingly survivor-centered, transparent, and outspoken approach to leader accountability by prioritizing victims and vulnerable people above reputations and institutional protection.

Departments:

1 - Investigations: Our primary mandate centers on a seven-discipline process to investigate allegations of abuse by leaders in faith-based environments. Currently our work focuses on establishing this service within all areas of the Muslim community using a survivor-centered and trauma-informed approach.

2 - Victim Services: FACE offers survivors of leader abuse ongoing support to assist him in their journey towards healing. This includes mental health and coaching services, access to a licensed social worker providing support, professional referrals such as legal assistance, access to online support groups, and more.

3 - Education & Consultation: In order to assist both in prevention as well as in responding to abuse FACE offers a public facing and approachable outreach department that delivers educational content as well as consulting services to help communities address these issues locally.

Programs:

1 - It Takes A Village: ITAV is a campaign that partners with educational institutions and education professionals, in the K-12 age groups, to help address this topic of concern in a customized and, when necessary, age-appropriate manner.

2 - Tomorrow is Now: TIN is a program where FACE works to support high school and college student groups, as well as community youth groups, with mentorship, process implementation, and training to help instill the values and skillsets of community accountability during their first experiences of leadership and community problem solving.

3 - FACE Ambassador Network: FAN is a program that provides engagement opportunities for people that are passionate about FACE’s work but also community accountability. Here FANs can contribute skills and time but also become deeply and meaningfully acquainted with the FACE process. In doing so our they become on the ground advocates for FACE and the point persons for their communities.
