Coptic Survivor Movement on Clubhouse

Description

The Coptic Survivor Movement started in July 2020 when the Coptic Orthodox Church was exposed on social media by @sallyzee for enabling and covering up clergy sexual abuse. This club supports survivors and raises awareness about sexual abuse by religious or authoritative figures.

SUPPORT: We are Copts who support the oppressed, vulnerable, and marginalized unapologetically. We empower and support Coptic Survivors of clergy sexual abuse, and extend our support to all survivors.

ACCOUNTABILITY: We investigate reports of clergy sexual abuse, and publicly expose abusers and those who protect them. We seek justice for survivors. We love the Coptic Church and want to protect it from the abusive leaders who’ve corrupted it.

PREVENT: We educate the public about sexual violence and prevention. We take action to prevent abuse by religious or authoritative figures.
