My name is Joushua Maria, I am the creator and host of The Extra Duty Podcast. I am currently serving in the United States Army and have been proudly serving for 7 years. I created this podcast to help eliminate the stigma on mental health and give service members in every branch the opportunity to share their stories, experiences and their personal traumas they’ve faced while serving. From attempted suicides, being transgender, PTSD, Divorce and more. We talk about what service members don’t talk about. We talk about the topics that people simply share awareness for. We want to reduce the number of service members who are committing suicide. We want to spread more than awareness we want to spread communication with our service members and keep each other alive.
